Funeral Pyres is a side quest that you will find on the way to Velen in Witcher 3.
Your task is to help the priest burn dead bodies at three different locations.
Here’s a walkthrough of Funeral Pyres in The Witcher 3.
The location of the priest is shown in the map below, marked by Roach’s location.
Talk to the priest
To begin the quest, talk to the priest. You will see him with two guards.
Find and burn the dead bodies
You’ll then be tasked with burning some dead bodies.
The location of all three pits are shown in the map below, marked by the orange quest symbols.
You should find ghouls or some other monsters near the bodies. Take them out first.
Once the area is secure, interact with the bodies to pour holy oil.
Next, use Igni under your Signs menu to burn the bodies.
Continue doing the same thing at the other two spots.
At one of the pits, you will find a man who’s still alive. Help him kill the ghouls.
During the conversation, you can choose to spare him or kill him. We chose to spare him instead.
Remember to burn the bodies here as well.
Return to the priest of Eternal Fire
Get back to the priest. His location is shown in the map below, marked by the quest symbol.
In the conversation, you can choose to be bribed by him regarding the man who’s still alive, or you can make the righteous choice.
We chose not to be bribed.
This will result in the three of them attacking you. Kill them all.
If you had chosen otherwise, you would probably be given money.
