Claw and Order is a side quest in Borderlands 3 that is available on the Sanctuary.
Your task is to help Marcus find out if Maurice is actually a bad creature.

This quest seems to be part of the latest update alongside Mayhem 2.0.
To begin the quest, interact with the bulletin board on the ship.
Listen to the first Echo Log
To find out information on Maurice, you’ll have to listen to a few Echo Logs.
The first Echo Log is located near the spawn point in Sanctuary. It’s on the table.
Listen to second Echo Log
The second Echo Log’s location is shown in the map below, marked by the quest symbol.
You will see it if you look up the ceiling. To grab it, just jump and take it.
Listen to third Echo Log
The third Echo Log’s location is shown in the map below, marked by the quest symbol again. It’s in the basement area now.
Just take and listen to it.
Talk to Maurice
Maurice will find out that you’re doing an investigation on him.
Go to Maurice and he’ll talk to you.
Pick a gift
He’ll then ask to pick a gift for Marcus. It may not be that important which gift it is, but we chose the fish.
Give it to Marcus
Go to Marcus (weapon dealer) to deliver the gift from Maurice.
He’ll ask you to place it on the table instead. Marcus thinks Maurice wanted to kill him as the fish is corrosive but he understands it as Maurice’s friendship.
The mission ends here. You’ll get some cash and a weapon.
