The Elf, The Nab-Sack And The Loom is a main story quest available in Hogwarts Legacy.
Your objective is to learn how to capture beasts from the house-elf Deek.
Here’s a walkthrough and guide of The Elf, The Nab-Sack And The Loom in Hogwarts Legacy.
The required level is 15.
To begin the quest, speak to Deek at the Room of Requirement.
Follow Deek
Then, follow Deek as he leads you to some Puffskeins.
You will now unlock the Nab-Sack item.
Equip Nab-Sack in one of the spell slots.
Rescue a Puffskein
With the Nab-Sack, go near the Puffskein. Use it on the Puffskein.
You need to press the button prompt during the process or it will fail.
Talk to Deek after capturing one Puffskein.
Rescue a Jobberknoll
Head to the next location marked on the map to meet Deek again.
This time, you need to capture a Jobberknoll. Use Levioso on the Jobberknoll to slow it down.
Then use the Nab-Sack.
Rescue a Mooncalf
Head to the next location marked on the map to reach the Mooncalf lair. Speak to Deek.
This time, change time from day to night as the Mooncalf only appears at night.
Like before, you need to use the Nab-Sack at close proximity. The Mooncalf takes more button prompts to succeed.
Enter the Vivarium
Return to the Room of Requirement. Enter the newly made Vivarium.
Release the beasts
Go to the beast management menu (R1 on the PS5) and choose the beasts to be released in the Vivarium.
Collect a Jobberknoll feather, Puffskein fur and Mooncalf fur
You will need a Jobberknoll feather, Puffskein fur and Mooncalf fur.
To collect their material, you need to make them happy first.
Equip the brush and the food in your spell menu as taught during the Beasts Class quest.
Each beast needs to receive both food and brushing.
The material / fur / feather will appear once they’re both fed and brushed. Collect them all.
Conjure an Enchanted Loom
Now, go back to the Room of Requirement.
Equip the conjuration spell and use it to make an Enchanted Loom.
Upgrade an item of clothing
Use the Loom to upgrade an item.
You can add more defence or offence depending on the type of item.
Add a trait to an item
Next, you have to add a trait to an item. You can choose an item with no traits or with a trait you don’t need.
Add a trait from the list you have. You will use up beast materials for it.
Talk to Deek
After completing the upgrades, talk to Deek to end the quest.
