Wicked Lair: Different Take On Tower Defense

Last updated on September 16, 2020 by Alvin L

Wicked Lair is a mobile game that’s available on the Google PlayStore among others and it’s a different take on the tower defense genre.

This game has been released for a couple of years now and the ratings have been positive so far.

Here’s an overview of Wicked Lair on the Google PlayStore.

Overview of Wicked Lair

This game is different than the typical tower defense in the sense that the different layers of protection are built vertically.

Your enemies have to go through the different dungeons that you built in order to get to your domain.

You can build different types of dungeons and each dungeon comes with its own creatures.

Types of dungeons:

  • Catabombs
  • The Pit
  • Growth
  • Citadel
  • Bandit Camp
  • Dark Cult
  • Mage Tower
  • Abyss
  • Tomb

The aim of the game is to stop the heroes from entering your domain. With the help of creatures, you need to stop them.

There are over 100 creatures in total from all the 9 dungeons.

Additionally, you can also support your creatures. You can use gold to upgrade the creatures or to cast powerful spells to help them.

For e.g. you can spawn a Golem to help defend your dungeon.

While the concept of Wicked Lair is pretty cool, it seems to lack replayability.

Once you’re done with the game, you can just play it again, but there isn’t much more to it.

You can, however, compare your score with other players provided you sign up for it.
