MapleStory is a game that is greatly dependent on equipment when it comes to bossing and killing regular mobs.
A pocket item gives you added stats that are necessary in improving your character’s damage.
However, it’s locked at first. You’ll need to unlock the pocket slot.
Here’s how you can start the quest to unlock the pocket slot in MapleStory.
Reach maximum charm
Before you can unlock the relevant quest, you need to reach the max level for charm.
The best way is to drink a Trait Boost potion. This potion is normally available via events.
You may sometimes get it if the server goes down and the GM decides to give compensation as well.
Once you’ve leveled your charm to the max, you will see the quest at the Maple Mailbox (left side of your screen).
In MapleSea, it’s called Excessively Charming.
Get a Rose Clipping
To complete the quest, you need a Rose Clipping.
The easiest way is to buy it off the Maple Auction.
The longer way is to go to Ardentmill and slowly hunt for it. You’ll need to keep plucking herbs and it will eventually drop after minutes or a few hours.
It’s still easier to buy from the auction.
Meet the Henesys Hair Stylist
Once you have the Rose Clipping, go to the Henesys Market and look for the Hair Stylist.
Enter his shop.
Talk to him to complete the quest. Your pocket slot should be unlocked and you’ll get a Rose pocket item as a reward.
