Scrope’s Last Hope is a main story quest available in Hogwarts Legacy.
Your objective is to find Scrope via his notes and try to get the missing pages.

The required level is 5.
To begin, look for Scrope’s note at the courtyard as marked on the map.
Search for the next note
Follow the compass and head to the next note just past the bridge. You’ll see some stone structures. The note is on one of them.
Jump and collect the note.
Search the pumpkin patch for another note
From the note, you should be able to look down at the next location.
Go towards it.
Use Revelio and you’ll see the note hidden in one of the pumpkins. Break the pumpkin and get the note.
Meet Scrope at the water’s edge
Head down to the water’s edge and you’ll trigger a cutscene near the dock.
You’ll meet Scrope who is a house-elf. He’ll ask for your help to find a ring and at the same time you can look for the missing pages from the book.
Investigate the Grotto
Use the compass to see the Grotto’s location which is nearby.
On the way there, you’ll encounter Stoneback Dugbogs. You can try to defeat them or you can just run past them. Maybe try Disillusionment to see if it works.
Enter the Grotto and place the toast on the pedestal / stand.
Enter the room and collect Apollonia’s Black Journal. You’ll meet a ghost named Jackdaw who’ll say that he sold the ring long ago.
The missing pages are now in the Forbidden Forest.
Inside the room, open a chest which contains a treasure map which is for another quest called Ghost of Our Love.

Return to Scrope
Head back to Scrope’s location to complete the quest.
