Fire and Vice is a main story quest available in Hogwarts Legacy relating to Poppy.
Your objective is to help free a captured dragon from poachers.
Here’s a walkthrough and guide of Fire and Vice in Hogwarts Legacy.
The required level is 19.
To begin the quest, meet Poppy Sweeting at the northern edge of the map as shown below.
Press wait at the marked spot.
Follow Poppy
Then, follow Poppy as she leads.
Search for signs of poachers
You’ll reach a small campsite. Investigate the area for signs of poachers. Use Revelio to find the highlighted items.
Speak to Poppy after investigating.
Enter the tent
Keep going ahead and you’ll reach a poacher campsite.
Use Disillusionment to avoid most of them.
There’ll be one guy on the bridge. Destroying the bridge didn’t work as he was still floating in the air. Had to use Reparo to build it.
Another way is to use the ancient magic to kill him in one hit.
Cross the bridge and enter the tent.
Inside, you’ll see two dragons fighting in what seems to be a beast arena.
Investigate Horntail Hall
You’ll then need to investigate the area. Use Disillusionment to remain stealthy.
At some parts, you may be required to kill the goblins if you wish to loot everything.
Continue towards the marked spot.
Collect the dragon egg
In the next area, collect the dragon egg from the cage. Use Alohomora to unlock it.
Defeat the poachers
Make your way to the arena to defeat all of the poachers.
After the first wave, a Poacher Animagus will appear. Take her out and all of the new poachers.
Free the dragon
Finally, you have to free the dragon using Accio on the handle.
