Foal of the Dead is a quest available in Hogwarts Legacy.
Your objective is to conjure a breeding pen and mate two Thestrals.

To begin the quest, talk to Deek in the Room of Requirement.
Buy a breeding pen spellcraft
To get a breeding pen, you need to buy the breeding pen spellcraft from Tomes and Scrolls in Hogsmeade. It costs 1,000 coins.
Capture two Thestrals
You will also need to catch two Thestrals of different genders. You can find them at their lair nearby.
Use the Nab-Sack to get them. If they move quickly, use Arresto Momentum.
Return to Deek
After doing both objectives, return to Deek.
Conjure a breeding pen
Enter the newly formed swamp vivarium and conjure a breeding pen.
Now, release both Thestrals of different genders.
Then, use the breeding pen and choose the Thestral species.
Wait for real-life 30 minutes and come back. A baby Thestral will be born.
Talk to Deek
Talk to Deek to complete the quest.
