Hide, Hideaway is a main quest in Final Fantasy XVI.
Your objective is to explore Cid’s Hideaway and do some tasks.

Speak with Cid in his chambers
You can now explore the map of the area. Go to Cid’s chambers.
Enter the door.
You’ll then watch a cutscene here.
Head to the main chamber
Next, go to the main chamber and Clive will talk to Goetz.
Speak with Blackthorne
Next, go to the blacksmith named Blackthorne. Give him the Continental Rum.
You’ll now unlock the blacksmith. You can forge new items or reinforce items.
This is a good time to reinforce your Broadsword to Broadsword+2.
Speak with Goetz
Talk to Goetz.
Speak with the man tending to the Bearer
You’ll see a new Bearer coming in who seems ill. Talk to Otto, the man who is tending to the Bearer.
Next, look for Tarja in the infirmary to get her help.
Speak with Charon
Then, go to Charon’s stall and talk to her. You’ll be able to buy items here.
Collect the supplies
Charon will ask you to collect your supplies.
While collecting the supplies, you’ll see the Arete Stone.
You will have unlocked a new training ground. Just use the Arete Stone.
Make for the Greatwood
When you’re ready to leave, head to Greatwood. Use the world map to fast travel there.
The quest ends after you reach the area.
