Siege of Castle Crimson is a main quest in the 4th DLC of Borderlands 3.
Your task is to retrieve a buzz-axe and to do so, you need to go through tons of enemies including evil versions of Brick, Mortecai and Lilith.
Here’s a walkthrough of Siege of Castle Crimson in Borderlands 3.
Enter the memory
The first objective is to enter the memory, which is a new map.
Once you’re in, you will see Psycho Krieg and Sane Krieg again.
Speak with Psycho Krieg.
Find flesh horn
The next objective is to find the flesh horn.
On the way there, you’ll encounter Spider enemies.
Once you’re done with the spiders, use the jump portal to reach the next platform.
You will encounter more Spider enemies.
Again, use the jump portal to reach the next side.
Finally, you’ll come across the flesh horn.
You then have to blow the horn, and the Castle will start using catapults to attack your location.
Assault meat castle
The objective now is to assault meat castle.
There’ll be plenty of COVs to deal with here.
Use the jump portal to get nearer to the castle.
As you land, you will come across more enemies.
Keep going until you reach the bridge leading to the castle.
As you reach the castle door, you will realize it can’t be broken.
Find catapult
The next aim is to find a few catapults.
From the castle door, you should see a route to the side.
Follow the route and kill the enemies.
Continue going and using the jump portal to reach the other side.
You will then reach the first catapult here.
Aim and fire the catapult
Use the steering wheel to change the catapult’s direction.
When you’re ready, fire the catapult.
Find second catapult
You’ll then need to find the next catapult.
On the way there, you will come across Brick and Mordecai.
Krieg will talk to them first, but evil Brick and Mordecai will attack you.
You will need to kill both of them.
Mordecai will teleport a lot and he uses his bird against you. You have to avoid the bird or shoot at it as it deals a ton of damage.
Brick will keep following you and use melee attacks, including slamming the ground which creates energy waves.
You can shoot at Brick first, but he’ll be immune after sometime. When he becomes immune, attack Mordecai instead.
Repeat the process until they’re dead.
After dealing with the two mini bosses, you will find the second catapult but it can’t be used yet.
Get skag chops
There’s a route on the side that leads you to some skags.
Here, you need to keep killing skags until you get 3 skag chops.
Place skag meat
Get back to the catapult and feed the skag meat three times to Goliath.
Take explosives
Next, get the explosives in the chest behind you.
Place the explosives on Goliath as well.
Aim second catapult
Use the wheel to turn the catapult’s direction. Fire when you’re ready.
Shoot down the moon
As the castle door is still holding, you need to shoot down the moon.
Just shoot at it a couple of times.
Get the moon
After the moon drops, you need to get it.
Use the jump portal nearby to reach the next area.
Go through the tunnel.
You will then come across an area with more enemies.
The moon is in the crater. Pick it up.
Go to third catapult
After taking the moon, look for the third catapult.
Use the wheel to turn its direction.
Place the moon on the catapult.
When you’re ready, fire the third catapult and the door will break.
Enter the castle
Now, you need to head to the castle entrance again. You can just skip the enemies.
Inside, you’ll come across more enemies to kill.
Reach buzz-axe
After securing the area, head to this part with the weird staircases. The aim is to go all the way up.
If you go down, there’s a mini side quest you can do.
Keep going up until you reach this area. To go up further, look behind you.
You can climb up the wall.
Follow the route and you will reach even more stairs going all the way up.
You can use the jump portal to fly all the way to the top.
When you’re ready for the boss fight, descend down the hole.
You will reach an open area. Walk until the cutscene loads.
Defeat Evil Lilith
You will then need to eliminate Evil Lilith.
Lilith tends to use energy waves a lot. You can avoid them entirely.
The hard part is when she starts to use different energy attacks.
Towards middle of the fight, she’ll start summoning energy balls, and also some energy attacks from the top.
You’ll need to shoot at them to destroy them before they reach you.
Enter door
After the fight, enter the door.
Pick up buzz-axe
Take the buzz-axe in the middle.
Inside, there’ll be some chests to loot as well before you go back.
Return to The Psychoscape
Once you’re done, use the portal to return to the Psychoscape.
Talk to Sane Krieg
Speak with Sane Krieg to complete the quest.
