Electric Pokemon are really effective against flying type and water type Pokemon, and guess what, some of them are also really cute.
I’ve written on many different types of Pokemon, including fossil, ice and ground type Pokemon.
Now, here are some of the best electric Pokemon among all of the different generations. They are not listed in order of strength.
1. Zapdos
Zapdos is a legendary Pokemon from the 1st generation and it’s both a flying and electric type. It is one of the legendary birds alongside Moltres and Articuno.
This Pokemon can create electricity and thunderstorms just from flapping its wings. It is also said to become stronger when it gets struck by lightning.
As far as its base stats are concerned, Zapdos has a much higher special attack attribute compared to its other attributes. This thunder bird is definitely worthy of a top 10 place.
2. Jolteon
Another evolved form of Eevee is Jolteon and it’s one of the best electric Pokemon from the 1st generation.
This Pokemon resembles a fennec fox or a similar animal and although it’s small in size, it’s pretty powerful. Its fur is unique as it’s sharp and at the same time it can amplify electricity produced in the body.
Jolteon has overall low base stats but has high special attack and speed attributes.
3. Raikou
Another legendary electric type Pokemon worthy of a mention is Raikou. This beast is from the 2nd generation and is one of the legendary Pokemon alongside Entei and Suicune.
Contrary to its looks, Raikou can actually fly by forming storm clouds, as shown in the cartoon. It is also said that it doesn’t really trust human beings. This Pokemon is usually sighted when there are thunderstorms or when other electric Pokemon are in a dire situation.
Raikou has decent stats overall, and its best attributes are special attack and speed.
4. Electivire
Electivire is the evolved version of Electabuzz, and is an electric Pokemon from the 4th generation. It uses its tail to create electricity and uses it against opponents.
Electivire is able to electrify its punches as well whenever it grips its tail first. Its capability of generating electricity is so amazing that it can even power a city for a year.
It has average base stats overall, but it does have a much higher attack attribute.
5. Luxray
Next on the list of best electric Pokemon is Luxray, which is an evolved form of Luxio. This 4th generation Pokemon has sharp furs as well, like Jolteon.
It is blue, black and yellow in color and it has a unique looking tail with a star-shaped tip. Luxray is said to have an incredible x-ray vision where it can see through walls.
This Pokemon has overall decent stats, but its attack attribute stands out for being relatively higher.
6. Magnezone
Magnezone was first introduced in the 4th generation as the evolved form of Magneton. It’s an electric and steel type Pokemon.
It can float in the air and navigate properly even if there’s no gravity, as it has an anti-gravity ability. Magnezone is also considered to be one of the stronger defensive Pokemon.
It has pretty average base stats, but it has high defense and special attack, making it a pretty okay tank.
7. Ampharos
Next on the list is Ampharos, a 2nd generation electric Pokemon which is the evolved form of Flaaffy. It can still mega evolve into Mega Ampharos, making it even stronger.
It has a pretty unique tail, with a red orb at the tip. When it uses and increases the amount of electricity generated, the red orb will brighten with a strong light.
Ampharos doesn’t have that impressive base stats, with special attack as its best attribute. Even when it turns into Mega Ampharos, the stats only increase minimally.
8. Raichu
As everyone should know, Raichu evolves from Pikachu and is one of the original electric type Pokemon from the 1st generation.
Raichu uses its tail to absorb electricity from the atmosphere to power itself up. Likewise, it can also discharge electricity into the ground using its tail if it has too much electricity built up in the body.
As for its base stats, it isn’t too impressive and doesn’t have any attribute that stands out.
9. Zekrom
Zekrom is a legendary dragon and electric type Pokemon from the 5th generation. Some might say it’s the strongest electric type Pokemon right now. It is also capable of turning into Black Kyurem if it fuses with Kyurem.
Zekrom’s tail is the one that produces energy for its attacks. It is also capable of producing an anti-gravity area which allows it to fly without resistance from air and gravity. As a legendary Pokemon, it is strong enough to even create thunderstorms.
As expected, Zekrom has really impressive base stats, with high attack, defense and special attack attributes.
10. Manectric
Manectric is the evolved form of Electrike and is an electric Pokemon from the 3rd generation. It is also capable of evolving into Mega Manectric.
This Pokemon uses its mane to gather electricity and discharge it, which causes thunderclouds as a side effect. It is also said to have been born from lightning.
The base stats of Manectric isn’t impressive, with special attack and speed being the strongest. That said, it becomes stronger when it evolves into Mega Manectric.
