Crab Beach is the western region of the map in Soccer Story.
After defeating the OAP Athletics in the final match of Soccertown, you have to journey to Crab Beach.
Here’s a basic guide and walkthrough of challenges and puzzles in Crab Beach of Soccer Story.
How to get sand boots for the beach
Before you can journey to Crab Beach, you need to obtain the sand boots.
This boots is only obtainable after you win the final match against the OAP Athletics in the Soccertown regional cup.
You can then access the room in Bob’s office where the chest is and the sand boots is inside.
Before you leave, talk to mum and she’ll ask you to speak with your twin who is actually Kai, your team member.
She’ll give you a strength upgrade to use.
Big umbrella (parasol) puzzle
There’s a purple parasol puzzle in the beach as well. You need to shoot the ball to open the parasol but in the correct order.
The first one is the top left.
Second is bottom right.
Third is bottom left and last one is top right.
You will get an energy upgrade medal inside the chest for completing this puzzle.
Bleep challenge
Another challenge is the bleep challenge.
Before you try this, you should max your speed stat first. The goal is to sprint to the opposite side within the time provided (when the light turns green). You can just hold sprint as your character can’t move when it’s red anyway. This is to save time.
You will have to reach level 20 to win. Do this three times to get all three prizes.
The final prize is an energy upgrade medal.
Catch the crabs
Talk to the guy surrounded by crabs to begin.
You have to get around 8 crabs. Look for holes where you see bubbles. Slide the hole and the crab will emerge.
You then have to slide the crab quickly to grab it.
Return to the guy to claim the strength upgrade medal when you’re done with all crabs.
Appreciate the targets
Another challenge is common in all the areas. You have to shoot the targets and there are 15 of them at the beach.
They are the red and white targets you see all around.
There are also targets at the football field.
Goalpost challenge
Another challenge is to score in all of the goalposts. Some are trickier and require you to curve it in. Just use the usual aim button.
There’s also regular goalposts and one is in front of the Beachside Utd office.
There’s also a goalpost on the western side of the beach. You will need to unlock swimming boots first after doing the main story.
Foot volleyball challenge
There’s a volleyball challenge where you have to defeat your opponent. The first to get 5 points win.
The key to win is to use your RT and right analog to aim whenever you hit the ball from the opponent. This takes a bit of practice.
You will get a prize for each win.
Shooting upgrade medal dispenser
At the Beachside Utd office, there’s a medal dispenser for shooting upgrades. You can exchange coins for them as you’ll need them.
Coconut challenge
There’s a girl under a coconut tree who will ask you to get 10 coconuts.
You will need a high level shooting upgrade.
You just need to shoot at the “X” targets on the coconut trees. There are 9 trees in the first area.
For the last coconut tree, you have to unlock the swimming boots first, which is after convincing tourists to buy ice cream.
It’s at the western side of the beach after you can swim across the water.
After getting 10 coconut, return to the girl. I couldn’t complete the quest as it seems to be bugged.
Seaweed challenge
There’s also a mermaid here who needs 10 seaweed.
You can find most of them diving underwater. Look for bubbles coming out of the water and you’ll notice a wooden target at the bottom of it.
Press dive.
When diving, you need to stop the arrow when it reaches the yellow part of the bar.
If you run out of seaweed from the water, try fishing for it instead.
I didn’t get a reward for giving 10 seaweed apparently.
Three freshly-fished fish
There’s also a guy who will require three freshly-fished fish.
You can fish for 1 fish at the beach, another at the lake in Woodland. The last one should be another region.
Offering puzzle
There’s a locked chest in between 3 offering statues.
One of them requires a pearl.
I found the pearl after diving underwater at the northern part of the beach. You need swimming boots.
Another one was a diamond that I fished from the Woodland lake.
The last one is emerald and it’s found in the river at the eastern side of Athletic Zone.
Offer all of the gems and the chest will be unlocked. You’ll get a strength upgrade medal.
Oysters and clams
There are two chefs in a cooking competition.
One of them requires oysters and the other requires clams.
Oysters can be obtained by diving underwater. There’s a spot where you can find all of them. Clams seem to be available from fishing from different regions.
The red chef will give you a speed upgrade medal upon completion.
