Professor Howin’s Assignment is one of the assignment-type quests in Hogwarts Legacy.
Your objective is to catch a Diricawl and a Giant Purple Toad, and later learn Bombarda.

Catch a Giant Purple Toad
You can find a Giant Purple Toad at its lair.
One of the lairs is shown in the map below, northeast from Hogwarts.
You will see a couple of toads here. Just use the Nab-Sack and capture one of them.
Acquire a Diricawl
The Diricawl’s lair can be found in the hilly area, shown in the map below.
It’s south of Hogwarts and you can find it with the compass.
A Diricawl requires more attempts to capture it. To make it easier, use Arresto Momentum to slow it temporarily before using the Nab-Sack.
Attend Beasts Class
Report back to Professor Howin at the Beasts Class during the day.
Talk to her after the class to learn Bombarda.
You can then practise Bombarda on the pumpkins. The assignment ends here.
