Niamh Fitzgerald’s Trial is one of the main story quests in Hogwarts Legacy.
Your objective is to complete the third trial by Niamh to obtain her memory.
Here’s a walkthrough and guide of Niamh Fitzgerald’s Trial in Hogwarts Legacy.
The required level is 23.
To begin the quest, head to the Headmaster’s office as marked in the map.
You can use your compass and go all the way up the tower to reach the office.
Access the Headmaster’s office
Go to the Gargoyle statue to use the password to enter.
Find the book
Look for the book at the back end of the office.
Make your way through the town without being seen
You will be teleported into a black and white fable / story.
Wait for the village to appear. You’ll be relying on Disillusionment here.
Make you way to the marker without being seen.
When the enemies are not looking, head towards the side of the building under the plank.
At the next area, wait for the enemies to look away and then sprint past them.
You’ll reach some barrels. Wait for them to look away as usual.
You will then come across a ladder. Use it to go up.
Make your way through the rooftop.
When you reach down, more enemies await. Wait for them to go away and sprint to the middle.
You will reach more Death Shadows. Wait for the first guy to look away and then hide behind the next obstacle. Do the same thing for the second guy.
You will then be surrounded by enemies on both sides. Go backwards and look for the opened door to enter.
Head upstairs and you’ll see more enemies.
One of the enemies will come close but will not go downstairs. When he moves, your character will say that it’s the time.
Sprint to the other side.
Finally, go to the shiny thing to get the invisibility cape.
With the new cape, they can’t see you. Just sprint past them to the next marker.
Get the wand
For the next stage, pick up the wand.
Follow the path and defeat the Death Shadows
With the new wand, you can blast through the rubbles blocking your path.
Normal casting doesn’t work.
Scroll through your spell slots. One of them is fully equipped. Use Bombardo.
You will then have to defeat Death’s Shadows.
You will reach a big open area. Defeat the Death Shadows. Death will also spawn troll-like creatures.
You’ll need to defeat around two or three waves of enemies.
Leave the area and head to the left. Go towards the end.
Pick up the object.
Complete the trial of the Stone
Walk through the graveyard and just listen to the conversation.
Head to Niamh’s body and interact.
Witness Niamh Fitzgerald’s memory
Then, follow Niamh as she leads you to her memory.
Talk to the last portrait San Bakar
Return to the Map Chamber and talk to the final portrait San Bakar. The quest ends here.
