In The Shadow Of The Mountain is a main quest available in Hogwarts Legacy.
Your objective is to find the final piece of the triptych.
Here’s a walkthrough and guide of In The Shadow Of The Mountain in Hogwarts Legacy.
The required level is 24 and you need Bombarda.
To begin the quest, head all the way southeast to the bottom of the map as marked below.
Talk to Sebastian there.
Travel up the switchbacks
Then, you’ll need to head up the mountain. Follow the path on the compass.
You’ll come across a few goblins on the way up. You can sneak past them with Disillusionment.
Defeat all the enemies
Keep making your way up until you see a group of goblins. Take them out either stealthily or full on attack.
Continue up the mountain
After defeating the goblins, continue making your way up.
You will then come across more goblins.
Enter the caverns
Next, head inside the caverns.
Search for Runes
Inside the cavern, you’ll come across many spiders.
Continue following the path and you’ll reach some stairs. Make your way up.
Defeat all of the enemies
You will now reach a bigger room and spiders will spawn. Take them all out.
Unlock the Rune Door
After securing the area, unlock the Rune Door by casting magic on all three of the Rune symbols on the wall.
You have to hit all three symbols before they reset.
The door will then open. Continue ahead.
Defeat the troll
In the next area, you’re forced to defeat the troll and some spiders.
Search for the triptych segment
To proceed ahead, use Revelio and you’ll see many rubbles highlighted.
Use Reparo on them.
Make your way up and you’ll see Isidora’s Journal Entry 5 of 7.
Use Wingardium Leviosa on the crate and place it near the ledge you have to climb.
Go up and you’ll find journal entry 6 of 7.
Continue ahead by blasting the rocks with Bombarda.
Jump over the gap on the floor and follow the compass.
Unlock the Rune Door
You will reach the Rune Door.
Like before, you have to unlock the door by casting magic on all the three Rune Symbols.
One is hidden behind the rocks.
The door then opens.
Investigate the chamber
You will then find Isidora’s Journal entry 7 of 7.
The last piece of the triptych is also on the table.
Use the magic passageway
Return to the Undercroft using the magic passageway.
Place the final piece
Then, place the final piece of the segment on the triptych to complete the quest. You’ll watch Isidora’s memories.
