Absconder Encounter is a side quest available in Hogwarts Legacy.
Your objective is to help Edgar Adley defeat an Acromantula.

To begin the quest, head to Aranshire as marked in the map below. It’s just east of Hogwarts.
Talk to Edgar Adley to begin the quest.
Find The Absconder’s Cave
There’s an Acromantula named The Absconder. Look for its cave in the Forbidden Forest. The location is provided in the map.
When you arrive, you’ll be surrounded by some spiders. Take them out.
To make things quick, head to the next location marked on the map, west of the current location.
Defeat The Absconder
The marker will lead you straight to The Absconder. Defeat this spider.
Return the heirloom to Edgar
You will find the heirloom in a chest near The Absconder. The chest is blocked behind some spider web.
Get rid of it and you’ll find the heirloom.
Return to Edgar to complete the quest.
