GACC (Games Anime Comic Circle) is now back in Multimedia University after almost a decade! They recently organized Haru Fest, which is sort of like a cosplay, games and anime event.
If you haven’t heard of GACC, it’s because they were cancelled many years ago after receiving some complaints as it was held on the same day as the MMU Open Day. Some parents may have seen how the cosplayers dressed and made some complaints.
Back then, GACC was one of the hottest anime clubs in Malaysia and even had voice actors (from the anime Bleach) all the way from Japan! Unfortunately it was cancelled but it’s now back!
Haru Fest was pretty quiet as most of the newer ones in the cosplay scene probably never heard of it. Maybe it should have been advertised more. There were a number of booths selling merchandise from anime or games, including key chains and stuff. They had a couple of computers at the venue itself for anyone to play, including football games.
If you’re into gaming, they also had a League of Legends competition just beside the hall. It was a Finals match between two teams and you could watch the game from a separate screen.
As usual, I took more cosplay photos than anything else and feel free to use the photos if you’re inside it. If you want it to be taken down from the website, do let me know as well.
We were lucky enough to have 2 guest cosplayers yesterday. One is Ying Tze who is already well known in the cosplay scene and the other is Qiu Wen, who is more of a social media influencer but recently got into cosplaying. They had their merchandise for sale as well.
Without further ado, here are the photos taken.
Hope you guys enjoyed the photos. To the cosplayers, thanks for letting me take your photos.
