Onward to Discovery is a side quest in Final Fantasy XVI.
Your objective is to accompany Jachym along the old Dzemekys road.

To begin the quest, head to the quest marker shown in the map of Boklad.
Talk to Jachym the scholar to begin.
Accompany Jachym along the old Dzemekys road
The main objective is just to accompany the scholar. Head to the green circle marked on the map.
You’ll see some bandits surrounding him.
Slay the bandits.
Continue ahead as the scholar runs away again. Slay the goblins this time.
Keep going to The Vaults as shown in the map.
Now, slay the Fallen echoes.
The quest ends here. You’ll get The Breath of Earth (Upheaval) accessory among other things.
