Escape Memoirs: Mini Stories is a free to play game on Steam that was released days ago.
The game is basically an escape room genre and it’s pretty tough to solve.
Here’s a walkthrough and guide of Jail Breakout of Escape Memoirs: Mini Stories.
Escape the jail cell
As soon as you begin, you have to escape the jail cell. You will see a brick outside.
Take the brick and knock the metal rod in the cell.
Use the rod to pull the key towards your jail cell. The key will be dropped by some other guy. You will hear his voice first. Once the key is dropped, you’ll be able to pull it to you.
How to unlock the room
After escaping the cell, you will be able to go to the staff room.
There’s a locked door in the room. To open the room, go back to the cell beside where you first started. There’s a ladder you can take.
Bring it to the hatch.
Also, take the tool from the red toolbox.
In the same room as the toolbox, look behind the pipes and you’ll see a knife. Take it.
Climb the ladder and use the knife to cut the ropes holding the hatch.
Enter the hatch. Click on the white arrow to go deeper in.
You will now be able to remove the mop blocking the door and unlock the door.
How to solve the high voltage puzzle
Inside the room, you’ll see a high voltage panel. Open it using the tool you found from the red toolbox.
Inside, you need to press the correct buttons for the electricity to flow.
You can follow the buttons I pressed. They are lit up.
Solve the scroll puzzle
You will then see a scroll that is locked inside the same room.
To unlock it, just press the buttons and you’ll see the dial moving. Follow the dial and press the buttons until all buttons are pressed.
You will get the key to Saul Jackson’s locker.
Solve the metal ball padlock (Han Sterling’s locker)
Go back to the staff room for more puzzles. Pick up all the pages you can find from the cabinet and so on. They are all hints.
Now, go to the padlock at Han Sterling’s locker. To solve the puzzle, you just need to bring all the four metal balls into the four holes.
You will need to utilize the balls to sort of block each other. To move the balls around, you have to click on the side buttons.
There are 20 buttons on the padlock that will bring the ball all the way to the respective sides.
In the correct order, you should go for the right-most hole, followed by the middle bottom, middle and then the top.
Inside the locker, you’ll find a letter. This letter will be used as a hint for another puzzle.
Solve the map puzzle
For the map puzzle, the locations are all shown. Go over the small papers on the map and you’ll see the description.
There’s a compass in one of the drawers that can be used to determine the direction.
You can also follow the directions set below.
Yellow points to the west, white points southeast and red points northwest.
After unlocking it, you’ll get a stack of punch cards.
Unlock Saul Jackson’s locker
You will then need to unlock Saul Jackson’s locker. The key from the locked room can be used for his drawer.
Inside, you’ll see his data punch card. Look at the employee ID.
Use the ID 10987 on the padlock.
You will get a sorting machine manual.
Unlock Harding’s locker
To unlock Harding’s locker, you need his employee ID.
You will have to rely on the sorting machine manual to give you the numbers.
Also, there are plenty of letters giving clues on Harding’s details. Also, his picture is on the wall and it says he’s a senior sergeant. Based on the letter, senior sergeant is paygrade 3 and he has over 10 years of service.
Now, place the stack of punch cards into the machine.
Key in the correct numbers from A to G. The numbers are 1, 2, 3, 1, 3, 0, 4.
You will get his employee ID 11562. Unlock his locker.
Solve the gate lock puzzle
Inside his locker, you’ll get a gate lock puzzle sheet.
Go back to the end of the cell and you’ll see the gate.
You basically need to adjust to follow the colors orange, white, blue, red, green and yellow from top to bottom. You can follow the adjustments shown below.
Solve the red yellow blue light puzzle
In the next area, you’ll see another puzzle. There are red, yellow and blue buttons on the panel.
The goal is to light them all up.
Basically they can be near the same color but they turn off when they are near opposite colors. You can follow the arrangement below, taking into account same colors can be near each other.
The puzzle will give you a key.
Use the key to open the secretary’s locker.
Inside, you’ll get another hint.
Security gate puzzle guide
The next part is possibly the most challenging part of Jail Breakout so far.
This one requires you to fit the long and short metal bars into the slots. There are 3 long slots at the outer rings, 2 short slots in the inner rings and 1 long slot in the inner ring.
To solve this security gate puzzle, you need to get one long bar into the top-most slot first.
Once you’re done with that, you have to rotate the inner rings using the long bars and place both of the short bars into their slots in the inner ring.
After the short bars are done, you have to use the long bars to rotate the outermost rings.
You should coordinate it in a way that the long bars on the outermost rings can enter both of the slots at the same time, while the remaining long bar can enter the inner ring slot.
Solve the mailbox puzzle
Once you’re done with the security gate, you have to solve the mailbox puzzle. First of all, notice the symbol of Clahdon District on the letter.
Press the bars that correspond with the Clahdon District symbol first.
Then, press the bars that follow the symbol on the letter, even if it overlaps with the Clahdon District one.
In the end, you will get a symbol like in the image below and the mailbox is unlocked.
You will get a shift list of secretaries, maintenance officers and security officers.
Emergency padlock guide
You will now reach the final puzzle. You have to unlock the padlock and leave using the emergency door to win the game.
Based on one of the letters, the five digit code is secretary first two digits + security officer last three digits.
Based on the workplace violation report, we know that the secretary is Ben. His initials are B.H. as Hans Sterling says Ben might be Harding’s brother. We assume the initials are the same.
In the shift list, B.H. is 62.
For the security officer, there’s another letter saying the officer instructed Frank to do something. Frank is the maintenance guy.
Look for week 37 where B.H. and F.D. are on the same shift. The maintenance officer is M.C. which is 938.
The final padlock code is 62938.
