Ubisoft has finally confirmed the name of the next Assassin’s Creed game and it will be Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
Many have speculated that it’s either Valhalla, Ragnarok or even Vikings. Valhalla was initially seen on a poster in their other game – Tom Clancy’s The Division 2.
It led to tons of new speculations back then as Ubisoft tends to give hints on the next game through their other IPs.
In yesterday’s long stream on Twitch and other platforms, they had a teaser that lasted hours.
They had BossLogic on the stream doing a Photoshop session of possibly the game’s poster until it was finally done hours later.
So what’s the release date of AC Valhalla?
Valhalla’s World Premiere Trailer
The world premiere of AC Valhalla’s trailer will be on the 30th of April – 8 am PDT.
In this trailer, we should get the release date of the new game. It’s also a cinematic trailer.
Setting of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla
As many have suspected, you should see this Assassin’s Creed to be based on the vikings era. The Viking Age was from 793 to 1066 AD. They were Norse people from the Scandinavian areas of the world. Today, these countries are known as Sweden, Denmark and Norway.
The word Valhalla itself refers to the ‘hall of the fallen‘ in Norse mythology. It’s the hall where Odin houses the dead who he deemed worthy.
We may expect to see more of these fantasy-type battles in this game, similar to Odyssey. The poster also shows viking ships, so we may be able to go sailing like we did in Ancient Greece.
What is the release date of AC Valhalla?
According to the cinematic trailer, Valhalla will be released in Holiday 2020, but we don’t know the exact date yet.
