The Hippogriff Marks The Spot is a quest available in Hogwarts Legacy.
Your objective is to look for the treasure as pointed out by the treasure map.
Here’s a walkthrough and guide of The Hippogriff Marks The Spot in Hogwarts Legacy.
To begin the quest, head to the location marked in the map below, at Poidsear Castle.
Retrieve the rolled parchment
Go towards Poidsear Castle. You can use Disillusionment to sneak through and take out the guy on the right side.
Continue to look for the tent and get the rolled parchment from the table.
You’ll find Henrietta’s map which leads to treasure.
Use Henrietta’s map to find the treasure
The exact location of the treasure spot is shown in the map below, marked by the waypoint pin. It’s all the way at the southern part of the world.
You should see a ruins controlled by Ashwinders. Use Disillusionment and go to the right-side of it.
You should see a path going downwards. Enter Henrietta’s Hideaway.
Inside, you’ll see some basins that can be lit.
Use a fire spell on it and the structure rotates. You can do that to get the chest and the other cube.
You should see a cube with the ice symbol already on the platform.
Use Wingardium Leviosa to move the fire cube onto the fire platform.
I casted fire and ice respectively on the cubes to open the door.
Inside, deal with the Ashwinder soldiers first.
Then, you will see a Hippogriff statue in the middle with some fire lit.
Follow the diagram shown in the map as to which basin should have fire and which should not.
You can use the ice spell to get rid of fire on basins that are not related and use a fire spell on those that need to be lit.
When you’ve done so, your character will say something to that effect.
Then, you’ll see the treasure chest in front of you.
The quest ends here.
