A Thief In The Night is a side quest in Hogwarts Legacy.
Your objective is to help Padraic Haggarty locate the thief and his heirloom.
Here’s a walkthrough and guide of A Thief In The Night in Hogwarts Legacy.
The quest location is shown in the map below, in Irondale.
Talk to Haggarty to begin the quest.
If you’re in the day time, change it to night.
Follow the trail of coins
Once it’s night time, use Revelio to see coins on the ground.
Follow the trail.
You’ll need to go across a goblin encampment. Use Disillusionment if you wish to avoid fighting.
Continue ahead and go up the steps.
You’ll probably come across another goblin camp again but just follow the trail of coins.
Capture the thief
You’ll eventually reach the camp of the thief. It’s basically a Niffler.
Use your Nab-Sack to capture it.
After capturing the magical beast, look on the rock above the campfire to find the Haggarty Family Heirloom.
Return to Padraic Haggarty
Head back to Irondale to return the heirloom to Haggarty.
You can ask for a fee but it’ll probably be a negative to your morality. The quest ends here.
