As the gate watches you, use Disillusionment. The gate can then be unlocked.

Search for evidence of Ranrok’s plan

The main objective is to find evidence of Ranrok’s plan.

You’ll see a boiler inside the mine. Use a fire spell to start it.

Then, operate the lift.

In the next area, pull the handle with Accio so that the loot falls off the conveyor belt.

Proceed ahead to the platform.

Use Accio to pull the platform to you, then Accio again to go to the other side.

You will now meet some goblin enemies. Use Disillusionment to stay hidden and kill from behind or you can just attack immediately.

Next, head to the gate. You need to be hidden to unlock it.

In the next area, you’ll see a boiler. Activate the boiler with fire.

Go back out the gate and you should see water coming down from the side with a small gate.

Use Accio to pull the handle to open the small gate.

Go up and make your way to the end. There’s a good chest to open.

Now, head back to the original path past the gate.

Search for the schematic on the table.

Continue looking around for more of the evidences. Take out the goblins.

Follow the path and you’ll find the third schematic.

Continue ahead until you reach a big room with more goblins. Take them out.

Search the schematic on the table.

To proceed ahead, look for a boiler.

Start the boiler and pull the handle beside it.

The small gate will be lifted and you can go through it.

Inside the area, you may come across a place covered with vines. Use Lumos if you wish to enter and loot stuff.

Now, head back to the main path and deal with the goblins.

Use Disillusionment to open the gate.

You will then find the final schematic on the table inside.

Exit the mine

To exit the mine, start the boiler and pull the handle.

You’ll notice a lift coming down. Use the lift to go up.

From the lift, you should be able to make your way out.

Speak with Amit

After exiting the mine, talk to Amit.

Speak to Lodgok

After Amit leaves, talk to Lodgok. He’ll tell you a much longer story on how he knows Ranrok and Miriam (Professor Fig’s wife).

The quest ends here.
