The Illustrated Manual is a side quest in the latest game The Outer Worlds.
Your task is to help the vicar find the Vicar’s book that he’s been searching for.
Here’s a walkthrough of The Illustrated Manual in The Outer Worlds.
To begin the mission, speak to the vicar who is located in the chapel near the Saltuna Cannery.
Look for the Collector’s Domicile
Your first objective is to head north of Edgewater, as shown in the map.
You’ll see a small town with a couple of buildings here. There will be marauders outside the building.
Take out the marauders first.
Enter the building to the right and look for the Collector’s Domicile.
Go to the cave
Next, head to the cave as shown in the map below, marked by the objective symbol.
You will see the entrance to the cave like in the image below.
Inside, you will face some enemies. Take them out first.
The Vicar’s Book is inside the safety box. You’ll need the requisite materials to open the safety.
Return to the vicar
Go back to the vicar who is in Edgewater and return to him the book.
The side quest completes here.
