The Guns of Reliance is a main mission based in Eden-6 in Borderlands 3.
Your task is to meet up with the resistance and help rescue Dalton, the gun maker.
Here’s a walkthrough of The Guns of Reliance in Borderlands 3.
This mission is for levels 23 and above.
Meet Clay at Reliance
You have to meet Clay at the Reliance. He is one of the resistance members. The location is shown in the map below.
As soon as you step in the area, you will be introduced to Clay.
Talk to him to proceed.
Follow Clay
Follow him through an alternative way in entering the camp.
Kill COV enemies
Right after entering the camp, take out all of the COV enemies.
Free Rebel Kyle and Jon Ryan
You have to free two rebels, Kyle and Jon Ryan, and also take out the COV guards.
Rebel Jon Ryan is located towards the end as shown in the map.
After securing the area, shoot the lock to free Jon Ryan from the cage.
Talk to Clay
Next, go back to Clay and speak with him.
To break open the door, shoot at the circuit.
Kill COV attackers
You guys will be attacked by another few waves of COV enemies. Kill them all.
Fall back to gas station
Go back to the gas station to continue the fight.
Continue killing COV enemies
More enemies will arrive. Take them all out.
Kill Long Arm the Smasher
Finally, an elite ‘Long Arm the Smasher’ will appear from the pod. Take him out. He’s not that strong.
Talk to Clay
After the battle is over, talk to Clay.
Restore power
Get to the controls above the building to restore the power to the vending machines, Catch-A-Ride and so on.
Go to Fort Sunshine
Next, head towards Fort Sunshine as Dalton is held there. The location is shown in the map below.
As soon as you arrive at the front gate, kill the COV enemies.
Go to Historical Lookout
As you can’t enter the fort, go to the Historical Lookout to find a way. The location is shown in the map.
As soon as you arrive, Clay will notice the rails going into the fort.
Go to Lumberhold
To get into the fort, you’ll need to use the rail system. The system starts from Lumberhold.
Get to the location shown in the map.
Go to Loading Dock
Your objective is to head to the Loading Dock.
Before you can get there, take out all the enemies that are in your way.
Catch-A-Rail
After reaching the Loading Dock, wait for one of the containers to arrive.
Jump on the container.
From here, just wait until you reach Fort Sunshine.
Jump into Fort Sunshine
Once you’re above the fort, jump down and prepare for a big battle.
Clear Fort Sunshine
You will immediately be attacked by sentry turrets and many ground units of COV. It’s pretty chaotic.
If you’re Moze, you can use your Iron Bear immediately to reduce the enemies.
Kill Muldock the Anointed
After the enemies are all dead, Muldock the Anointed will spawn. He is definitely an elite.
When he has the purple energy around him, he is immune. Just wait until his shields are down to kill him.
Free Dalton
After the Anointed is dead, free Dalton using the controls.
Take key from Dalton
Go to Dalton and take the key from him. It will unlock his gun cabinet.
Open Dalton’s gun cabinet
Head back to the Reliance.
Open the gun cabinet inside his shack.
You should get a legendary weapon.
Talk to Clay
Speak with Clay to complete the mission.
