In Stardew Valley, you will encounter two types of quests, one is temporary and the other lasts a season.
One of the quests you will get in autumn of Year 1 is Mayor’s Shorts, where Lewis lost his purple shorts.
Here’s where you can find the mayor’s shorts in Stardew Valley.
Go to Marnie’s animal shop
The first place you should be looking is at the place you buy animals from. It’s Marnie’s shop, which is located right below your first farm.
Walk behind the counter and into the room. You will find one purple shorts there.
Bring it back to the mayor to get your reward.
Go to Lewis
Lewis the mayor is normally found near his house or maybe around town, since he’s always checking on people.
Once you’ve found him, grab the shorts and give it to him.
The quest completes here and you will get 750g as reward for finding his shorts.
