Red Dead Redemption 2: How To Find The Vampire In Saint Denis

Red Dead Redemption 2 has a couple of very interesting easter eggs to find. You can even find a vampire in one of the alleys of Saint Denis.

Here’s a guide or walkthrough on how you can find the vampire in Saint Denis in RDR 2.

Before the vampire can even appear on your map, you need to find all of the graffiti that point to him.

There are five graffiti scattered around Saint Denis. The exact locations are all shown below in the screenshots (where my character is standing).

Graffiti 1

For the first graffiti, get to the saloon in Saint Denis. You have to go to the one at the northeast side (as there are two saloons).

The graffiti is located on a building opposite the saloon, across the road. Keep walking around the building towards the right and you will find the graffiti on the wall.

The exact location of the graffiti is shown in the map below.

If you walk from the saloon, you should see a building with reddish walls. Walk towards the right and the graffiti is there at the corner.

Graffiti 2

For the second graffiti, get to the trapper. You should see an arch at the entrance that leads to the trapper. Do not get into the trapper area.

Beside the arch entrance, there should be a small door (grill). Open the door and as you walk in, the graffiti should be beside you.

You should see these red writings on the wall.

Graffiti 3

For the third graffiti, go to the butcher and general store area. The graffiti is on a wall facing towards the dock.

If you look at the image below, you will see the graffiti in white. To give you an idea, the butcher is on the left side of where I’m standing.

Graffiti 4

The fourth and fifth are more tricky as they are inside the alleys.

For the fourth graffiti, go east from the stagecoach symbol. You should see this wall with a Sally Cola advertisement.

Walk into the alley.

Walk into this area with a huge tree in the middle.

If I’m not mistaken, you should see like three arches on your left. Get into that small walkway.

Keep walking along the walls and as you turn the corner on your left, you should see the red graffiti here.

The exact location of this graffiti is shown in the map below.

Graffiti 5

The fifth graffiti is also nearby, but it’s hard to lead you there from the fourth graffiti. Get out of the place and get to the front of the gun shop.

Beside the gun shop on your left, there’s a Chinese restaurant. Beside the restaurant on the left, there should be an alley. Walk into the alley.

Keep going until you see this small stairs on your right (picture above) that leads you to a place with trees. Walk up the stairs and look towards your right.

You should find the red graffiti somewhere on your right. The color is not so bright so you may miss it.

In any case, the exact location of the fifth graffiti is shown in the map below where I’m standing.

Once you’ve found all five graffiti, wait until midnight for the vampire to appear.

Where to find the vampire

You should see an “X” that appears on your map, marked as corpse. It only appears sometime in the midnight.

Personally, I couldn’t find the “X” nor the vampire the first night or the subsequent nights.

I went out of town for some time and when I came back, it was there during the night time. Apparently there may be a bug where he doesn’t show up if you read your journal again.

If you can’t find the “X” in midnight, get out of town and do something else for a few days. Go find the ghost or UFO or something.

Come back later.

The map above shows you the exact location, but if the “X” doesn’t appear, you won’t find the vampire.

When it does appear, get to the alley and you will find the vampire sucking the blood of a corpse.

He will then talk to you and you can choose to “Defuse” or “Antagonize”. I chose to defuse the conversation but he still attacked me.

Get your gun ready as the vampire comes rushing for you. Use dead eye immediately to shoot his head. I used a regular pistol for this but a shotgun may be safer.
