Judgment is the latest spinoff from the popular series Yakuza by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio.
You play as private detective Yagami as he cracks down on huge secrets between the yakuza and the government.
Here’s a walkthrough of Chapter 5 (Days Gone By) in Judgment / Judge Eyes.
Investigate Shintani’s corpse
This chapter begins with the death of Shintani. As his corpse is on the floor, investigate it using the activate search mode.
Go over his body to look for hints.
Below are screenshots on all the things you need to investigate to get extra points.
Even the cupboard and table have to be examined to get some points.
As usual, there’s a cat outside the door.
Search for Shintani’s phone
Next, look for the phone that’s ringing. It’s actually right beside his body but rather hidden.
Report to Genda
Once you’ve done searching the corpse, look for Genda to tell him what had happened.
Defeat Honda
Before you can reach the office, you’ll have to face a Keihin gang leader again. It’s Honda again.
Get to Genda law office
After defeating Honda, resume your walk to Genda’s office.
There’ll be some cutscenes to watch.
Rest up at Genda law office
Before you can rest up, talk to Hoshino.
During the conversation, reveal the evidence of Shintani’s call log.
After the conversation, you can rest up by interacting with the sofa.
Rescue the old man
After resting up, you’ll meet an old man as soon as you get out of the office.
Find mugwort for the old man
He will then ask for your help to find mugwort. It’s just beside the fence where the old man is.
Defeat the thugs
Bring the mugwort back to the man and you’ll see a group of thugs.
Defeat them all.
You will probably lose the fight at first, as you can’t bring their HP down to zero.
Use the extract
You will be interrupted as the old man gives you a Thunder Strike extract.
Drink it and resume the fight.
This time, you’ll defeat the thugs easily.
After defeating the guys, the old man will bring you to his place. He brews extracts using ingredients you supply him.
There’s also a casino in this building.
Head to Charles
Once you’re done, head to Charles (the arcade).
There, you’ll meet your gang – Kaito, Suguiora, Hoshino and the yakuza dude.
Head to ADDC
Next, you need to head to ADDC with Hoshino. This time, grab a cab there.
Go to the reception
Look for the reception desk and talk to the lady.
You will then be transported to the past (flashback) when Yagami was still a lawyer investigating the case on Shinpei Okubo.
Follow Terazawa
Follow the nurse Terazawa to look at the victim’s room.
Investigate the room
Inside the room, you’ll need to investigate several items as shown in the images below, including the bed and the window.
As usual, there’s a cat during the verification mission. Look out the window and it’s beside the pillar under the walkway.
Follow Terasawa
Once you’re done, follow Terasawa.
Investigate the parking lot
To investigate the parking lot, you need to talk to the nurse Terasawa.
Talk with the nurse
After checking out the parking area, you will head back to the room. Talk to her to proceed.
You can investigate the room again, but it’s unlikely to change anything.
Once you’re done, you will be transported to another cutscene at Genda’s office.
Chase the mysterious person
Shintani gets attacked by some mysterious person. Chase after her.
Defeat the thugs
Finally, you’ll need to defeat some thugs.
The mysterious person turns out to be the nurse and she volunteers to help you.
The next cutscene shows the trial where Mr. Shono testifies for the prosecution and Terasawa testifies for you.
In this decision-making process, choose “Shono’s testimony was a lie”.
Chapter 5 ends after the flashback is done and you’ll meet the director of ADDC.
