Judgment (Judge Eyes) is the latest spinoff of the Yakuza series by Ryu ga Gotoku Studio.
In this game, you play as Yagami-sensei, an ex-lawyer who is now a private detective.
Here’s a walkthrough / guide on Chapter 3 (The Stickup) of Judge Eyes (Judgment).
Return to Yagami’s agency
After the first cutscene, you have to get back to your agency to progress in the story.
You will then be introduced to Higashi, someone who used to be under Kaito-san. They’re with the Matsugane family.
Tail Higashi
After Higashi left the building, follow him to see where he goes.
As usual, don’t get detected and use barriers to hide whenever he turns around.
He will then stop at this convenience store for awhile before continuing.
Keep going until he leads you to an arcade.
Wear a disguise
To investigate the arcade, you first need a disguise. Go to your inventory and get changed.
I used the Stakeout Style which was sufficient for this.
Enter the arcade and you’ll see a cutscene.
Investigate Higashi
To find Higashi, you need to get to the back door behind the staff.
He will stop you from entering. Try entering one more time.
Defeat the clerk
The clerk will then fight you. Defeat him to gain access to Higashi.
There’ll be a cutscene here.
Report to Kaito
Now, get back to Kaito at the agency to tell him what had happened.
You can select all conversation choices for this one before you quit.
Head to Tender
To find out what happened to the stolen 100 million, you need to go to Tender to look for the informant.
When you reach, the bartender has some other side quest for you to do first.
Head to Hills Garden on Park Boulevard
The client is waiting at the Hills Garden, north of the map.
As you get there, a cutscene will load. You will be introduced to the Thieves gang who have been doing burglaries in town.
One of the members, Crow, needs your help to look for Jester. Jester is the dude who saved you against Hamura in Chapter 2.
And thus, you need to do this side case first, before you can get back to the 100 million issue.
Go to Tenkaichi Alley
To look for Jester, go to Tenkaichi Alley.
As you reach, you need to climb up the ladder.
At the rooftop, a cutscene will load and you will see a fake Jester. This one was merely a fanboy.
Go to Senryo Avenue
Next, you have to look at Senryo Avenue.
You will then have a cutscene where two of the Thieves’ members were running away from the police.
Head to the theater garden
After hearing that they will meet up at the theater garden rooftop, you need to head there.
Use the elevator to get up to the rooftop. You will see the two thieves talking.
Apparently Jester left the group because Crow became greedy for money.
Head back to Hills Garden
Go back to Hills Garden where you first met the Thieves crew.
When you reach, you will see the fanboy from earlier getting beaten up by the crew.
Defeat the masked men
Help the guy by defeating the masked men.
Crow then approaches you and asks for evidence on what he’s doing. You can submit both of the photos.
Defeat Crow
You will then need to defeat Crow in a 1-on-1 battle.
After defeating him, you will unlock job requests at the Bar Tender.
Right after, you will get a call from Ayabe (the informant). He wants 100,000 in exchange for information you’re seeking.
Return to Yagami’s agency
Get the 100,000 first and return to the agency.
After resting at the agency, a cutscene will load and you will see Ayabe in the room.
He then gives you intel on what had happened with Kaito and the 100 million back then.
Inquire about Red Nose
The guy who stole the money was Red Nose, a homeless dude.
You now need to ask about his whereabouts. You should see five spots on the map to investigate, but you only need to go to one.
The exact guy to look for is shown in the map below. He’s the one on the top right of the map.
Talk to him (image below).
This homeless dude will ask you to get him a prize from the VR shop in exchange for the information.
Head to Paradise VR
Play the VR game
You will be introduced to the VR game that allows you to actually win money.
This game works by rolling the dice which is random.
You get to move based on the number drawn on the dice. If you get 3, then you can move 3 places.
The whole aim is to reach the end which is marked on your map. Use L1 to open the map.
At each stop, you may need to defeat VR enemies or do other stuff.
Once you reach the end, your job is done.
Head back to the bum
Go back to the homeless guy with the prize.
Head to the Children’s Park
He will then ask you to go to the Children’s Park.
Defeat the homeless men
You will then be ambushed by a group of homeless men.
Defeat all of them.
You will then be informed that Red Nose is already dead and they actually wanted to find the killer.
Head to Charles
You will then be contacted by Kaito and you have to meet at Charles, the arcade place.
This time, Kaito will be following you all the way.
Once you get to the arcade, you’ll meet Higashi and his men again. He points his gun at you guys.
The group of homeless men appeared from behind to defend Yagami and Kaito.
Defeat Higashi
This time, you’ll have to defeat Higashi and his men.
Chapter 3 of Judge Eyes ends here after a cutscene showing Kaito and Higashi having a small chat.
