The Final Repository is a main story quest available in Hogwarts Legacy.
Your objective is to enter the final repository and defeat Ranrok.
Here’s a walkthrough and guide of The Final Repository in Hogwarts Legacy.
The required level is 24. You may want to pack all of the potions you have as you’ll need it.
To begin the quest, head to the Map Chamber to talk to Professor Fig.
Enter the Keepers’ Caverns
After the cutscene, the floor gets pushed down and the door to the Keepers’ Caverns appear.
Make your way to the Repository
Together with Professor Fig, make your way to the Repository.
Stop the goblin Loyalists
You will then discover that the Loyalists have drilled their way through.
Defeat the goblins.
Reach the Repository before Ranrok
After the fight, Professor Fig will move the big drilling machine away.
Defeat the Loyalists and their Trolls
At one point, you’ll come across two Trolls and more goblins to defeat.
Find a path through
After securing the area, proceed ahead via the crack on the wall.
Defeat Ranrok’s Loyalists
There’ll be more Loyalists waiting. Defeat them all.
Reach the Repository
Professor Fig will blast open a path. Continue ahead.
You’ll then see a cutscene of all the professors from Hogwarts coming to help fight the goblins.
Together with Professor Fig, continue to go ahead.
Some Loyalists will spawn along the way. Take them out.
A Fighter Troll will also appear which is stronger than the previous Trolls.
After the fight, continue going until you reach the Repository.
Dialogue choices – good or bad ending
When talking to Professor Fig, you have dialogue choices. If you choose “I intend to keep it contained here” it will be a good ending, and the other choice “I intend to open it” leads to a bad ending.
Defeat Ranrok
You’ll then need to confront Ranrok in the hardest fight of the game so far. He’ll be in the form of a dragon.
At the start, you can’t damage him. You will notice orbs around him.
The color of the orb dictates which spell you need to use to destroy it.
For e.g. if the bubble is yellow, use Levioso or other yellow-colored spells and if it’s red, use a damage spell. For purple, you can use Depulso and so on.
After getting rid of the orbs, you will see his health bar. Fight him until the health depletes to three quarters.
He will then run away. Follow the path.
He will then shoot fireballs at you. Keep using Protego and go towards him.
For the second fight, you’ll have to remove orbs again before you can harm him.
After his health falls to the next part, he will go down. Slide down to the big platform below.
Continue the fight below.
After his health drops to zero, he will still attack you. During that time, orbs will appear in short successions.
You have to destroy all of the orbs according to their color like before. After all orbs are gone, Ranrok is defeated.
You will then watch the ending according to the dialogue choice you chose. The quest ends here.
