A Bird In The Hand is a relationship-type quest in Hogwarts Legacy.
Your objective is to look for the Golden Snidget with Poppy.
Here’s a walkthrough and guide of A Bird In The Hand in Hogwarts Legacy.
The suggested level is 27 and you will need Glacius.
To begin the quest, go to Brocburrow just east or southeast of Hogwarts as shown in the map below.
Meet Poppy
When you arrive, meet Poppy there.
Talk to Dorran
Go through the arch and you’ll see Dorran inside. Talk to him.
Figure out how to enter the ruins
You will then need to solve a puzzle to enter the ruins.
To begin, place the Scholars’ Moonstone first.
You will then see two symbols lit up on the door. You need to light up two of the same symbols on the floor.
All you have to do is to use Accio and pull the two pillars so that each pillar lights up one symbol.
The pillar has to be on the opposite side of the symbol as the light from the pillar goes there.
After lighting up the two symbols, the door opens.
Search for the Snidgets
Enter The Gilded Perch.
Inside, you may come across a chest on the floor above. Use Wingardium Leviosa on the crate and place it near the ledge. Then, use Levioso on the crate for it to float. Climb on the crate to get to the upper floor.
After you’re done looting, proceed ahead under the tree bark.
You should then see a dark path at the side which is optional as it’s for looting stuff.
Go back to the main path where you see two symbols on the ground.
If you climb up on the floor above, you should see the fire cube hidden near a big tree. Drag it away and place the fire cube on the symbol on the ground.
Then, use the crate to allow you to climb and get the ice cube.
Bring the ice cube onto the ice symbol.
Use a fire spell on the fire symbol and Glacius on the ice symbol.
The door opens. Enter inside.
Defeat the Poachers
Some Poachers will appear. Take them out.
The centaurs will then arrive to help. More Poachers will spawn here. Defeat them all.
Unlock the door
Head to the main door to unlock it as it leads to the Snidget Sanctuary.
You’ll then find the Golden Snidgets. The quest ends after.
