Portrait In A Pickle is a side quest available in Hogwarts Legacy.
Your objective is to help a portrait find his frame and return it to Three Broomsticks.
Here’s a walkthrough and guide of Portrait In A Pickle in Hogwarts Legacy.
To begin the quest, head to the library and you’ll hear a portrait of Ferdinand Octavius Pratt making noise about his frame being stolen by students.
Talk to Astoria Crickett
Go to Three Broomsticks in Hogsmeade.
Talk to Astoria Crickett inside the bar.
Find and speak with Ferdinand in the ruins
Now, head all the way southeast to Marunweem Ruins as marked in the map below.
When you reach the area, you’ll find some enemies inside the ruins.
The portrait is kept underneath. There are some steps that lead to the basement inside the ruins.
The portrait is behind a level 2 lock.
You’ll then need level 2 Alohomora to open the lock. I’m not sure if there’s any other way to enter. To increase your lock level, find more Demiguise Moons and return them to Gladwin.
Talk to Ferdinand inside.
During the conversation, you can threaten to burn him or send him to Hog’s Head but it won’t actually allow you to do that.
Return to Three Broomsticks
Head back to Three Broomsticks and place Ferdinand’s frame on the wall.
The quest ends here.
