Trial of Merlin is one of the puzzles you’ll come across all over Hogwarts Legacy.
One of the trials can be found in the small town of Keenbridge.
Here’s how you can solve the Merlin Trial in Keenbridge (guide) in Hogwarts Legacy.

How to solve the Merlin Trial in Keenbridge
You should see the swirl which represents the Merlin Trial.
In the town, use Revelio and you should spot a big metal ball near the fence.
You’ll see that the ball is on a platform.
Position yourself nicely and use a regular casting attack on the ball. On each of the fourth hit, the ball will move. Ensure that the ball goes up the platform and escapes the fenced area.
If you screw it up, you can always fast travel elsewhere and come back; and the ball will be back at the starting position.
Once you get the ball out, use Accio and drag the ball over the main bridge.
As it most likely gets stuck near the middle of the bridge, use regular casting attack to push it over.
Then, continue to use Accio and drag it into the bowl just after the bridge, on the side.
The Trial of Merlin is completed.
