Interior Decorating is a main story quest in Hogwarts Legacy.
Your objective is to learn how to alter items using a spell in the Room of Requirement.

Talk to Professor Weasley
To begin the quest, speak with Professor Weasley right after The Room of Requirement quest.
Conjure wall decorations and floor decorations
The first thing to do is to conjure five wall decorations and five floor decorations.
Place them in your room according to your own taste.
Learn Altering Spell
You’ll then be taught the spell of Altering.
Alter the style of an item, change the color of an item and adjust the size of an item
With the new Altering spell, you can equip it in your spell slot and use it on items that are around you in the Room of Requirement.
You can first change the color of an item.
Then, change the style of an item. For e.g. you can go from gothic to herbalist.
Finally, you can change the size of some items from big to small or vice versa.
Alter the balcony or floor
You can also use alteration on the balcony or the floor of the room. I personally changed the style of the flooring.
Change the ambience
You can talk to Deek to change the ambience of the room.
You have a choice between
- cool, moonlit ambience
- natural and earthy
- dark and mysterious.
Fortunately, you can change the ambience at any time after just by asking Deek to do it.
