Darknight Hero’s Alibi is a series of quests available in Mondstadt in Genshin Impact.
Your task is to find out who the Darknight Hero is and protect his identity.
Here’s a walkthrough of Darknight Hero’s Alibi in Genshin Impact.
This walkthrough will be divided into sub-quests.

Legend of the Darknight Hero
The first sub-quest is Legend of the Darknight Hero.
To begin the quest, talk to Charles in Mondstadt. He is located in the tavern.
He’ll ask you to find out clues about the guy at the fountain. Talk to Margaret and she’ll tell you more about the Darknight Hero.
Next, go to the front gate of Monstadt. Speak to the knight named Lawrence.
Then, he’ll direct you to the florist. Speak with Donna.
After talking to her, change your time to 6 pm (night).
After it’s night time, go to the location marked on the map. It’s near the tavern.
You will then see Master Diluc defeating some of the Abyss Order guys. He is the Darknight Hero after all.
He will then leave and you have to defeat the remaining hilichurls.
Darknight Hero’s Crisis
The next sub-quest is Darknight Hero’s Crisis.
Talk to the knight Huffman outside of the Knights of Favonius’ headquarters. He will tell you about a letter of war against the Darknight and Mondstadt.
To warn Diluc, go to Dawn Winery, south of Mondstadt.
Talk to Diluc inside the winery building. He’ll tell you that he knows about the letter from the Abyss Order already.
Diluc will then ask you to meet him at the Temple of the Lion (if not mistaken). The location is provided in the map.
He will be waiting for you at the front door. Talk to him first and then enter the domain. The recommended element is pyro, but you’ll get to use Diluc who is a pyro so you don’t have to worry.
For the recommended levels, it should be 23 and above.
Enter the domain and start the console.
The console will then be sealed and some enemies will appear. Kill them first.
Next, use the console again to open the door. Deal with the hilichurls in the next room.
The next door will open and more enemies will come in.
Enter the next area and you’ll see a wall of rocks. Destroy the wall and you will find a common chest inside.
Continue through the main door and deal with more slimes in the next room.
Finally, you have to defeat the Abyss Mage Landrich. He uses the hydro element.
After defeating him, Diluc will interrogate the person. Just burn him with the Searing Hand until the option to interrogate appears.
Return to Huffman at Mondstadt to report to him.
Darknight Hero’s Alibi
The next sub-quest is Darknight Hero’s Alibi.
After Huffman told you about their plans to monitor Diluc, you have to meet Diluc again.
Go back to the Dawn Winery and speak to him.
He will then ask you to gather 4 mist flowers. You can find mist flowers north of the winery.
They are the ones that are frozen. You can melt them with pyro and then collect the mist flower.
After you have four of them, go back to Diluc to pass the flowers.
He will ask you to set the elemental bait on the ground. Just go to the marked area and place them.
Talk to Diluc to proceed.
Some slimes will be attracted to the bait. Defeat all of the slimes.
The bigger slimes will also show up later.
Once you’re done with the slimes, talk to Diluc.
He will ask you to meet at the tavern.
Turn your clock to night time (after 6 pm) first.
Enter the tavern at night and talk to Diluc. You will see Huffman here as well.
Then, leave the tavern to place the bait.
Put the elemental bait outside the side gate of Monstadt.
Once you’re done, go to the front gate of Mondstadt and a cutscene will load.
You will see Diluc fighting with the Abyss Order.
After the cutscene, you get to control Diluc and you have to defeat all of the Abyss Order attackers.
There will be two waves, led by two Abyss Mages.
After defeating them all, return to the tavern before Huffman.
Huffman will find the situation suspicious and leaves. Kaeya however has been hiding in the tavern and finally caught Diluc in the act.
He decides to keep it quiet from the Knights of Favonius, but the two of them seem to have an issue with one another from the start.
