Riding Derby is a main story mission in Far Cry: New Dawn involving death races.
Your task is to take part in the demolition derby to get close to the Highwaymen Lieutenants.
Here’s a walkthrough of Riding Derby in Far Cry New Dawn.
The level of difficulty for this mission is level 3.
Talk to Irwin
To start the mission, talk to Irwin at the location shown in the map below.
You will see him leaning on a pillar.
To prepare for the derby, you need to get to the bag and get changed.
Enter the car
Irwin will then bring his derby car. Enter the car and start driving the vehicle.
You need to bring the car to the derby arena. The location is shown in the map below.
Enter the arena to start the demolition derby.
Eliminate all of the opponents
After entering the arena, you need to reach the startling line. There’ll be others waiting for you.
Your main objective now is to kill all of the opponents. Most of the time, it’s safer to stay in the car and shoot them.
Bring a SMG or a strong pistol like a Magnum.
Defeat the truck
Most of the opponents are easy to beat. The real challenge is when the truck comes into the derby arena.
It is equipped with a machine gun at the top. The easiest way to defeat the truck is to get out of your vehicle and use it as a shield.
Target the gunner on top of the truck first. Then, kill the driver. This truck will go round and round, so you can just wait for it to keep coming.
Also, if your vehicle is on fire, you will probably die from explosion. I normally get out of the vehicle before the truck arrives.
Enter the VIP section
After winning the demolition derby, you can meet the VIPs.
You need to drop your weapons first in the bag provided.
Then, follow the guard to the VIP area.
Get through the purple door to start the cutscene.
You will find the Twins and other lieutenants inside.
As expected, Ethan from New Eden has betrayed Joseph and the rest. He will bring the Twins to find the sacred fruit.
After the cutscene, you will be out of the room.
Take the weapon
There’ll be a weapon for you to take inside this broken down bus. It is remade into a toilet section.
Get to the middle toilet seat and open it. You will find a gun inside.
The other toilet seats are only filled with poop.
Return to the party
Before you return to the party, you need to prepare. Once you get in, you will start shooting everybody in slow motion at first.
In order to pass this part, you need to headshot all of them. Otherwise, their armor is too thick for your weapon.
I failed many times as I failed to headshot them before getting killed.
Kill the lieutenants
After pushing through the door, you will have some slow-mo time to shoot them.
If you can’t kill all of them immediately, you can kill them after the slow-mo is over.
Once they’re dead, get back to the party area and leave the area.
Take your gear and escape the arena
Follow the yellow marker to your gear.
Once you’ve gotten it back, use the vehicle that’s already parked inside and drive out.
You will face some Highwaymen as you escape.
Escape the arena
Find the exit and leave the arena.
The mission completes after you’ve gotten away far enough. That’s it for Riding Derby.
