Blood Drive is a main mission in Borderlands 3 that begins after Tannis gets captured.
Your task is to rescue Tannis from the Carnivora and defeat Pain and Terror.
Here’s a walkthrough of Blood Drive in Borderlands 3.
This mission is recommended for level 30 and above.
Return to The Droughts
Head back to The Droughts in Pandora to begin the mission.
Go to Devil’s Razor
This time, go to a new place called Devil’s Razor. The location is shown in the map.
Destroy the gate with the V sign.
Enter Devil’s Razor.
Get into Carnivora Festival
Your task now is to enter the Carnivora Festival. The location is shown in the map below.
Bring any vehicle there.
Place your vehicle on the tongue. Start the conveyor using the button at the side. The vehicle will be destroyed as it isn’t fancy enough to enter.
Go to Big Donny’s Chop Shop
To get a fancy vehicle, head to Big Donny’s Chop Shop. The location is shown in the map below.
After entering, you’ll have to deal with many enemies. Take them all out as you make your way inside.
Find Big Donny
Big Donny can be found near his vehicle as shown below.
There’ll be more enemies waiting for you here. Kill them all.
Kill Big Donny
After killing the mobs, Big Donny will show up himself to kill you.
Take him out.
Use crane controls
Get his keys and use the crane controls which are located on the higher platform.
Drive chariot to Carnivora
Get inside his vehicle (Chariot) and drive to Carnivora festival.
Once again, place the vehicle on the tongue. This time, the vehicle will be accepted.
Walk and follow the vehicle in through the ‘tongue’.
Enter Carnivora gates
Your next big objective is to reach the Carnivora gates.
This part is pretty long as there are many enemies to kill.
Keep going and just kill everyone you see along the way.
Go until you reach this gate. The gate will open by itself.
Continue walking until you reach an elevator. Use the lever and you will be transported downstairs.
You will now reach the basement area which is filled with Tinks. Kill all of the Tinks here.
Continue going and killing until you reach another elevator.
This time, it will bring you up to Carnivora’s Playground.
Head towards the gate and open the gate. A cutscene will appear. You will be introduced to Carnivora, a 20,000 ton vehicle.
Chase after Carnivora
Grab a vehicle and chase after Carnivora. You can use the vehicle nearby or spawn your own vehicle.
After getting close to the Carnivora, shoot at the fuel lines. There are 3 fuel lines on Carnivora, all glowing in orange.
Next, kill the supporting crew.
Once you’re done, destroy the transmission of Carnivora. It’s located below the vehicle.
Once again, clear the remaining crew who are on their own vehicles.
Next, destroy the main tank. It’s the huge tank glowing in orange / red.
Once you’re done stalling Carnivora, board the vehicle.
Find Tannis
The next big objective is to find Tannis. You will first appear in the garage section.
Once again, this part is filled with enemies to kill.
Kill all the way until you reach this ‘elevator’. Use the wheel.
Enter the ‘elevator’ and you will be blown up to the next floor.
Continue fighting the Tinks and all sorts of mobs here.
At one point, you’ll have to cross a bridge with flames. The flames will appear in intervals so you need to time yourself.
There are Tinks waiting behind the flames.
Once you’re in the outdoor space, continue following the route and killing the enemies.
You should also find a Dead Claptrap here, which is a Crew Challenge.
Keep going until you see the ladder going downwards.
Kill the Tinks and the elite
There’ll be an elite Tink (level 31) at this part and also plenty of regular Tinks. Take them all out.
Once they’re dead, continue following the route.
Enter arena
You will finally see this entrance in the image below.
Get into the elevator and pick a music for yourself.
Once you’re ready for the boss fight, jump down into the arena.
Defeat Agonizer 9000 (Pain and Terror)
Finally, you’ll face Pain and Terror.
They will be using a machine named Agonizer 9000.
Agonizer 9000 has a pretty long shield bar that’s hard to destroy. Once you’ve gotten rid of the yellow shield bar, the rest of the fight is easy.
To deal critical damage, you should aim at the voltage box of the machine. There are a couple of these red boxes on the Agonizer 9000.
This boss has quite a number of skills. It can use a sweeping blade and pretty much sweep the entire arena, or it can chop you with the blade.
You can avoid the sweeping blade only if you jump high enough.
A more common attack would be spinning blades that run towards you. It will start with 1 blade, but as the shield depletes, it will use 3 blades simultaneously.
Another thing to watch out for is the floor. Some areas of the floor with light up in red and flames will come up. Run before that happens.
Agonizer 9000 can also use a pulverizer. Run out of the red light on the ground and you’ll be able to avoid that attack.
In the middle of the fight, this boss will have a ‘break time’ and chests will spawn. You can get bullets here but the chests will explode after some time.
The easy part is after the yellow layer of shield is gone. At this point, you simply need to shoot its core.
The core is in the middle at the bottom, and looks like an orb. This machine will be destroyed pretty quickly when you attack the core.
After the core is destroyed, Tannis absorbs the power and kills Agonizer 9000.
It is then revealed that she is a secret Siren.
Kill Pain and Terror
After the battle, kill Pain and Terror. Shoot each of them once and they will explode with loot.
Talk to Tannis
Lastly, speak with Tannis.
The mission completes here. You will earn cash and get an item as reward.
