Assassin’s Creed Odyssey: Escape From Athens Walkthrough

Last updated on October 3, 2020 by A L

Escape From Athens is a main quest in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and is one of the three quests given before the Perikles’ Symposium quest.

Your role is to find Phidias who is in ‘captive’ by Athenian guards and help him escape to the island of Seriphos.

Here’s a short walkthrough of Escape From Athens in AC Odyssey.

This quest is recommended for those level 16 and above, which is easier than A Venomous Encounter.

Locate Phidias’ workshop

The first thing to do is to find Phidias at his workshop. The exact location of the workshop is shown in the screenshot below.

The entire place is surrounded by guards, both inside and out.

You can first talk to the guard at the entrance. He won’t let you in of course unless you pay him some drachmae. I went the other route where I killed him and made it so much harder since everyone was after me.

Phidias is upstairs so you need to get in first and climb up the pillars to the small space.

Talk to Phidias and a cutscene will appear. One of the guards will come in looking for you guys. You will then split up with him and meet him elsewhere.

You can choose to kill the guards or just sneak away.

Meet Phidias at the Port of Piraeus

Next objective is to meet Phidias at the port. The exact location is shown in the screenshot below marked by the quest symbol.

If you are there early in the daytime, he won’t show up. You can meditate to fast forward time and he will appear at night.

Sail to the island of Seriphos

When he appears, you need to sail to the island of Seriphos which is located about 3,000 meters away.

There will be pirate ships on the journey so it’s a great time to gather some resources.

And that’s it. The quest completes when you reach Seriphos and you get some rewards including a bow, some drachmae and a cultist clue.

It’s a small island but there may be quests and also a location to synchronize.

Hopefully this walkthrough of Escape From Athens has been useful.
