As usual, just build a room with walls two-blocks high. You can use any building material for it.

Next, place a door to complete the room.

Once the room is done, place at least 1 haystack and maybe 2 or more animal bedding.

Also, put at least 1 food bowl in the room.

The animal house should be complete. You can just use a small space for it.
