AC Odyssey: What Lies Below The Surface (Walkthrough)

What Lies Below The Surface is a quest in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey that continues from the previous Cashing In On The Cow.

Your role is to follow the two warriors into the minotaur’s lair to slay the minotaur.

Here’s a walkthrough of What Lies Below The Surface in AC Odyssey.

This quest’s recommendation level probably follows your character’s level.

To start the quest, talk to the warriors near Leiandros in Pephka. Their exact location is shown in the map below.

Follow the warriors

The first objective is to follow the warriors to the minotaur’s lair. Grab your horse and go with them.

It’s apparently inside a place called Cave of the Brave. Follow the warriors in.

During the walk in, the warriors will leave as they hear the minotaur’s roar.

As you reach the minotaur, you will notice it’s just a man with a minotaur helmet.

Talk to him and he will try to scare you.

There’ll be three warriors behind you. The plan was to ambush you to steal your items and money.

Defeat all three of them. Once you’re done, get back to the minotaur to interrogate him.

As expected, the minotaur is Leiandros and he was forced to do this by the cultists. The next quest is to rescue his daughter.

The actual minotaur requires a recommended level of 40 if not mistaken.

You will get a Minotaur Mace and a Minotaur Torso as quest rewards.
