Din Tai Fung Sky Avenue Genting Highlands

Last updated on December 16, 2019 by A L

Have you guys tried Din Tai Fung at Sky Avenue Genting Highlands? It’s popular in many countries as it has a Michelin star.

They serve Chinese food, and they’re well-known for their xiao long bao. The one at Taipei 101 is probably the most popular branch.

Regardless, you’ll probably have to queue whether you visit the branch in Malaysia or in Singapore.

I recently went to Din Tai Fung at Genting Highlands and I would love to share some of the food that I ate.

This is their famous xiao long bao! It oozes with delicious broth when you bite it. Remember to hold it properly and not let the broth drip away. Some even recommend to drink the broth first before eating it. We normally dip it in vinegar and ginger to bring out maximum satisfaction. Either way, it’s lovely!

The picture isn’t that nice. It tastes much better than it looks. Having said that, it’s similar to the one served at Dragon-i.

din tai fung sky avenue genting highlands noodles
This is their dry noodles with dumplings. It’s quite good but nothing extraordinary. As expected from a Michelin-starred restaurant.

Their fried rice with deep fried pork! Love how they used a lot of egg in their rice.

Their noodle with dumplings soup.

Overall, their food definitely meets expectations. I’ve been to a few Din Tai Fungs around Asia and the quality is similar.

The only slight letdown was the xiao long bao. I thought they used to be nicer.

Service is of course good and we didn’t have to wait for a table as we went at a non-peak time.
