Followers of Truth is a quest under the episode “Every Story Has An Ending” in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.
Your task is to find out where the Followers of Ares are hiding and what their intentions are.
Here’s a walkthrough of Followers of Truth in AC Odyssey.
This quest is recommended for level 63 and above, but it differs according to your own level.
Find the Followers of Ares’ hideout
Your first objective is to find where the Followers of Ares are hiding.
The estimated location is shown in the map below, marked by the yellow radius.
As you get nearer, use Ikaros to pinpoint the exact location. You should get the location shown in the map below.
As you get there, you’ll discover a cave entrance – Akousmatikoi Cave.
Herodotos is waiting for you at the entrance.
Exterminate the Followers of Ares
Enter the cave and look for the hostiles.
Eliminate all of the Followers of Ares inside the place. You will encounter one guard first.
Go in deeper and there are three more inside. Take them all out.
Investigate the lair
Next, you need to find out what they’re doing in the island of Samos. Look for the clues around the area. There are 5 of them in total.
One is behind / beside the statue.
The next one is in front of the statue.
Another clue is at the side where there are Athenian and Spartan items.
The last two clues are on the other side of the room, on the desk and on the ground.
Talk to Herodotos
After investigating the clues, talk to Herodotos to determine how to proceed.
Theodoros or Mestor?
At this point, you need to choose either Theodoros or Mestor as the real culprit.
Based on the clues found, I chose Mestor (and it’s probably the right answer).
Regardless, Herodotos will respond the same way and you may get different quests at first, but you’ll still find out who the true culprit is.
The quest completes here and you’ll earn some drachmae for your troubles.
