How To Take Over Control Points – The Division 2

Last updated on October 3, 2020 by A L

In The Division 2, you will have territories that belong to the good guys, and others belonging to different factions.

This means that you can take over or regain control over some of the control points.

Here’s a brief guide on how to take over control points in The Division 2.

How to take over control points

If you look at your map, you’ll see various areas which are controlled by other factions.

To begin taking over a control point, you need to get there first.

This will be a general idea of what happens during control point takeovers.

Neutralize hostiles

Once you’re there, you should see plenty of gunmen inside the compound / boundary.

You have to eliminate the hostiles inside.

Luckily, you can call for backup from the NPCs by shooting your flare gun. A couple of them will come in awhile and they will help you regain control.

You can also get backup from other online players, but these are harder to come by (unless you have friends).

Enemy Leader Detected

After you’ve cleared most of the hostiles, the enemy leader will appear.

He is normally the one with the yellow HP bar and is more obvious.

Naturally, they are harder to kill and they usually use high-damage guns.

Defend the control point

After you’ve defeated the enemy leader and the hostiles that were inside, more enemies will come.

Wait at the control point and take cover.

There may also be a mounted weapon for you to use.

Similarly, an enemy leader will appear once most of the henchmen are dead.

Kill the leader and secure the area.

And that’s pretty much it. You would have captured the point.
