Blood in the Water is a support quest in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and it leads to one of the cultist members.
Your role is to investigate Swordfish’s whereabouts in Octopus Bay and eventually finding and killing him.
Here’s a walkthrough of Blood in the Water in AC Odyssey.
This quest is recommended for level 29 but it may follow your character’s level.
To complete this quest, you need to do another side quest as well, i.e. The Lost Arkalochori Axe. There may be another side quest apart from this but I can’t recall.
Just look for those exclamation marks in the area as they may be related quests.
Once you’ve done that, go to the market at Octopus Bay.
Talk to locals
The exact location of the locals are shown in the map below. They are basically merchants in the market.
There are about four people you can talk to. They are symbolized by the magnifying glass icons on their head.
Talk to all of them and most of them will be afraid to tell you anything.
After I completed The Lost Arkalochori Axe’s quest, this guy is now approachable (screenshot below). Talk to him and he will give you a location on where Swordfish may be.
Find Swordfish’s hideout
After you’re done with getting clues, go to Swordfish’s hideout. His exact location is shown in the map below.
You can take a boat there or just go by land.
The entrance to his lair requires diving. When you’re at the location, dive in and you should resurface at Hermit’s Dive.
Be careful of the sharks around the area. There are two of them.
Just walk inside the place and you will hear Swordfish’s voice.
Confront Swordfish and there’ll be a short cutscene.
Just fight and kill him. He may be pretty strong as an ex-cult member.
Be careful of the fire attacks. Do remember to loot all of the items because you can get this Prancing Pegasos for your ship.
After defeating him, his details will be revealed. You will also get a cultist clue, artifact fragment and a Bracers of Achilles.
