Making Friends is a side quest in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey which is activated after you meet a small girl in a mining quarry.
You have to find shiny stones from an abandoned mine and pearls from under the sea.
Here’s a short walkthrough of the quest Making Friends in AC Odyssey.
This quest is recommended for those level 17 and above. The level may vary according to your own level.
You have to choose whether to find the pearls first or the shiny stones.
Locate the pearls
Here’s the exact location of both the pearls and the shiny stones. They are identified by the quest symbols.
As for the pearls, it’s the one on the upper right hand corner of the island.
What you need to know is that there are a couple of sharks to kill first before diving in. You can kill them from the surface using your bow and arrows.
The images below show where the pearls are. This is how it should look like. You can’t loot the pearls unless you’re out of conflict with the sharks.
There are maybe three different locations for the pearls, kinda close to each other. That being said, you need to dive in the dark trench for the last pearl.
Once you’re done, go to the abandoned mine for the shiny stones.
Locate the shiny stones
The location of the abandoned mine has been shown in the screenshot earlier. Just follow the quest symbol in the map.
This is the entrance of the mine.
The shiny stones are on buckets like these. Just interact with them. You need to be careful of the snakes in this mine as they bite pretty heard.
I don’t remember exactly how many shiny stone locations there are but quite a few. Just look at the bar on the upper left hand corner of the screen.
There are some shiny stones pretty deep in the mine, where it’s really dark.
Return to the little girl
Once you’ve collected both the shiny stones and the pearls, get back to the little girl.
The screenshot below shows her exact location marked by the quest symbol.
Talk to her and there’ll be conversation choices. I’m not sure if they lead to different endings.
