Catch And Release is an optional quest in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey which is activated in Messara.
Your task is to locate a missing fisherman and bring him back to his wife.
This is a short walkthrough of Catch And Release in AC Odyssey.
To start the quest, you need to talk to this civilian on Heraklion.
This quest is recommended for levels 28 and above.
Locate the fisherman
The first objective is to find the fisherman who did not come back. He’s actually stranded in Anaphi, a small island north of Messara.
The exact location of the fisherman is shown in the screenshot above. You can fast travel to Anaphi if you wish to save time.

Kill the pirates
Upon arrival, you will notice pirates attacking the fisherman and his crew. Kill all three of these pirates.
After getting rid of them, talk to the fisherman.
Return to Heraklion
Escort the fisherman back to his wife in Heraklion. He will automatically go onboard your ship. This means if your Adrestia is in some other island, he will be on the Adrestia regardless. You can of course summon the Adrestia from the ship dock.
When you’re back at Messara, talk to the wife and the quest completes.
You will get a spear and some drachmae as quest reward. Hopefully this guide has been helpful for you.
