The Laughing Fish By Harry Ramsden is a well known brand from the UK and they’re known for fish and chips.
They opened one branch at Genting Highlands Malaysia not long ago. Here’s a brief review on The Laughing Fish in Genting Highlands.
The building stands out from far as it’s well decorated. The interior is also pretty nice.
As the weather in Genting is quite cool, it can feel pretty cozy inside the restaurant.
They decorated the ceiling as well. You will see plenty of these photo frame decorations on the ceiling.
Also, they had live music when we visited. It’s a nice place to have a drink and relax, and just enjoy the music.
Main course
As they’re famous for their fish & chips, you should at least try one.
You can order either the haddock or cod, and it comes in three sizes, from regular to legendary.
We ordered the large size haddock (not the legendary) and it was pretty big.
It came with two decent sized haddock fillet. The batter was just right and the fish was fried to perfection.
Together with the fish, you can order another side like the gravy.
Another dish we ordered was the cod burger. It’s not too big but it was also good.
It’s kinda similar to just ordering the fish & chips without the bun.
My personal favorite was the pie. The seafood pie ran out, so we ordered the chicken and kale pie.
It came with mashed peas and potatoes, with a nice gravy sauce to smother over it.
The pie was really good and the creamy sauce inside of it was just right.
In a nutshell, the food was great and the ambience was just right. Worth trying it at least once.
