Stardew Valley is one of the best farming life simulation games in the market right now.
For those who loved Harvest Moon and maybe even Farmville, you should check out Stardew Valley as well.
This game also allows you to catch all types of fish. Here’s how to do fishing in Stardew Valley.
How to fish in Stardew Valley
You will be introduced to fishing pretty early on in the game. It’s one of your first “missions” after starting the game.
You need to meet the guy at the fishing shop and he will generally tell you stuff on fishing.
The mechanism is pretty simple in this game. You don’t even need to buy a bait to lure a fish. That said, you can craft baits later.
Just get to any huge bodies of water. The easiest spot is the one at the fishing spot.
Just hold your action button before you cast the rod. You will see a bar moving from red to green. I typically cast my rod at the maximum or close to it.
Now, just wait for the fish to bite. You need to differentiate between just a nibble and an actual bite. When the fish bites, you will see an exclamation mark and hear a pretty unique sound effect.
Once it bites, just click on the action button again to pull the fish.
Now, a bar will appear and you need to make sure you fill the right-most bar. In order to do so, you have to control the small green bar which moves up and down.
The fish has to be inside the green bar at all times. To move the bar up, just click or hold your action button.
You need to time it perfectly as the fish keeps going up and down.
Once the right-most bar is filled completely, you would have succeeded in getting a fish.
You can either eat the fish to get some energy or sell it to the fishing shop owner for money.
