That’s Murfree Country is a mission in Red Dead Redemption 2 that involves moving your campsite.
Your role is to ride with Charles to check out a potential camp spot where the Murfree Brood (gang) are located.
Here’s a walkthrough of That’s Murfree Country in RDR 2.
To start the mission, talk to Dutch who’s in the camp site of Lakay.
He will ask you to bring Charles along to scout the new area at Roanoke Ridge.
Ask Charles to ride with you.
Follow Charles
Mount your horse and follow Charles to the potential new campsite.
To ensure that the gang can live safely, follow Charles to find the Murfree gang to eliminate them.
Mount your horse and go on foot.
There’ll be two Murfrees out there. Take your knife and stealth kill one of them. Charles will take care of the other.
Keep walking ahead and you will see a cave where the Murfree’s hideout is.
Kill the Murfrees in the cave
Charles will ask you if you want to use a dynamite or sneak in by killing quietly.
Either way, you will still be required to go in. If you use a dynamite, you will flush out some of them and you can kill them while standing outside.
If you sneak in, you still have to kill them. But even with the dynamite, you still have to enter as Charles will rush in and there’s a captive inside.
You do have to be careful with one of them at the cages. I shot him multiple times but he didn’t die. You probably have to shoot his head.
He can kill you in one hit, so don’t get close to him.
Once you’re done with the Murfrees, free the lady.
Bring the lady back to her home
As she’s the only survivor inside, bring her back to her house in Annesburg.
At the house in Annesburg, her mother will offer you a gift, but you can choose to decline or accept.
Once you’re done, get back to the campsite.
This will only be a cutscene where Molly returned. She told everyone that she was the reason the Pinkertons came during the bank robbery.
Susan shot Molly dead for betraying the gang.
And that’s it. The mission completes here and you’re now in Chapter 6 of the game.
To get a perfect score, you need to do the following:
- Deliver Meredith to her mother within 2 minutes
- Get 15 headshots
- Complete with at least 85% accuracy
- Complete the mission without taking any health items
