Country Pursuits is a mission with Dutch in Red Dead Redemption 2.
Your role is to follow Dutch to a boat-maker in Lagras and this mission involves alligators.
Here’s a walkthrough of Country Pursuits in RDR 2.
You have to start this mission by talking to Dutch who’s upstairs in the house at Shady Belle.
He’ll be having a talk with Hosea on robbing the bank.
Follow Dutch to a boat-maker in Lagras. Dutch plans to get rid of Bronte and the best way is to attack by water.
Grab your horse and ride to the swampy area of Lagras.
You will meet Thomas (boatman) there.
Follow Thomas to find Jules
Jules is his friend or co-worker who hasn’t come back yet. Follow Thomas through the swamp.
Keep going and you’ll meet some alligators on the way. Thomas will ask you guys to stay still to avoid getting targeted.
Keep walking ahead and there’ll be some traps you have to check.
One of the traps has been bitten by something huge.
Look for Jules
You guys will then split up to look for Jules. Dutch and Thomas will go one way and you have to check the other side.
The search area is shown in the map above. Just walk around the yellow area. Jules should be more towards the right side.
You will see a light on the tree. Jules is up there and claims that there’s a huge monster in the swamp that knocked him from his skiff.
Get to the skiff nearby.
The rest will come as well and you guys will all get on the skiff. After paddling for awhile, the skiff will hit an obstacle.
Jules will go into the water to pull the skiff. While doing so, he gets bitten by the alligator (Bullgator).
Save Jules
Go towards Jules and save him.
Carry him and walk back to the skiff. Keep walking and don’t turn back.
After getting on the skiff, apply the bandage on Jules’ leg.
Shoot at the Bullgator
The Bullgator is a much bigger and fiercer alligator. It will come near your skiff, so shoot it as many times as possible.
Keep shooting until it goes away. And that’s it. The mission ends after the cutscene.
If you wish to get a perfect score, you need to:
- Return Jules to the skiff within 1 minute 40 seconds
- Shoot the Bullgator 5 times
